For those who may not know, here is a little bit about Anne Taintor from her website:

Anne graduated from Harvard in 1977 with a degree in Visual and Environmental
Studies. After college, she focused on collage, and her work always incorporated
a subtle humor and playfulness. For years, Anne’s art was more of a sideline
than a full-time occupation. But in 1985, she was a single mother searching for
a way to spend more time at home with her daughter than her job in cartography
permitted, and she began to develop a line of collaged pins and magnets. The new
collages combined vintage images with Anne’s own interpretation of what these
men and women might really be thinking. They were instantly a hit with Anne’s
customers, though it took a little longer for her to be brave enough to “quit
    her day job”.

In 1999, with her daughter away at college, Anne and her
husband moved to a tiny town (population 80!) in North Central New Mexico

Anne Taintor NEW Napkins and Mugs!

We are always SO excited when the new Anne Taintor catalog comes and see that Anne has new items. Thankfully, she still keeps her wry sense of humor and continues finding these amazing retro images. This season's crop of funny cocktail/beverage napkins and coffee/tea mugs will keep you smiling when you have your next cocktail party or just the next cup of coffee.

This season we were even more excited to announce that Anne now has napkins with women of color! Great news indeed. Anne has been on the hunt for a long time for images to add to her collection that is more representative of America today. However, since she uses old advertising art as the base for her art, it has been difficult to find women of color from artwork in the 40's. However, she has done it! We hope this is a start of much more to come.

Shannon Martin - Girl Designer just released more funny, witty and oh, so RETRO Cocktail/Beverage Napkins and Drink Coasters.

We've been a big Shannon Martin supporter for quite awhile. If you aren't familiar with Shannon, her website says it best:

lifetime prankster who was born to create funny, funky, witty and retro
cocktail/beverage drink coasters. Shannon loves what she does and hopes you do,
    too.

Shannon attributes any artistic tendencies to her mother, who used

Lamott and her hero, Pippi Longstocking.
